Fusilier regiment von lossberg8/27/2023 These all came together in the centre of the battalion, with a small colour guard, in action. Each ordinary company had a flag, but the grenadier company did not thus each Musketeer/Fusilier/Garrison regiment, and the main body of Rall's regiment, had five flags – one white (Colonel's or leibfahne) and four coloured (ordinarfahne). A small ninth platoon was formed from the left over men to guard the colours occasionally, a further ad hoc unit of volunteers was created to provide flankers or skirmishers. The five remaining companies were administrative, rather than tactical in battle, the battalion was split into two "wings", each of two "divisions" each division was then split into two "platoons" (so 8 platoons overall). Further to Tom Collins' post, there is often confusion among wargamers over the internal organisation – there were five "ordinary" companies (musketeers or fusiliers, or in Rall's case "ordinary" grenadiers) and a grenadier company which was detached.
